I have always LOVED woven wedges! These Michael Antonio shoes are wonderful and I will likely be buying them here in the near future. With a chunky wedges, the minimal straps makes this shoes the perfect balance. Here are some affordable, and some more expensive (out of my price range) woven wedges. Enjoy!

Spring Style

I wore this outfit a few week ago on a date night. I love because it was inexpensive, just the right amount of coverage for spring time, and the pink blouse is the perfect shade to go from day to night. Not to mention the whole outfit was less than $50!!

Black Jeans $10.00 from Forever 21

Black Flats $14.99 from Target

Pink Blouse $18.99 from JCPenny’s (Wait, What?? YES! They’ve really stepped it up this season!)

Vintage Finds that are LESS EXPENSIVE and BETTER than their fraternal twin!

Okay, you’re right. They’re clutches. They can’t have a twin. But seriously, these clutches are similar, and the price difference between them is so wonderful it makes me want to dance! I LOVE a good find! I means LOVE IT!
I love things that are nearly one-of-a-kind as well. There is something about vintage items that gives me that I’m an individual, I’m unique feeling. Knowing that I have something that almost no one else is likely sporting makes me happy.  There is often a charm to vintage items that draws me in.
I figured I would share these with all of you. But I’m not gonna lie, I was reluctant! I kept thinking, “Yes, these are awesome! But what if I decided that I want them afterall and someone else buys them first?!” I figure, better to share than to be greedy so you go! The pink vintage clutch from Etsy’s is my FAVORITE!!!
All of my purses with the exception of maybe one or two I bought online. I’m going to make a series out of these amazing deals and how I find very similar items with drastically different prices! Hope you enjoy!

Coachella 2012: Yes music, but mostly BOHO FASHION!

Coachella 2012 was certainly a place of great music and entertainment. But for the fashion lover, it was a place of Bohemian styled lookbooks of great fashion. The fashion looks so similar to Woodstock.

Easy, breezy, a bit “hippie”, and free.

Spring Maxi Dress and Accessories for almost NOTHING! Seriously!

I’m a huge fan of Forever 21. I know a lot of people aren’t. But for the prices, I don’t think you can really go wrong. Sometimes, all you want is a simple cotton dress. Why does it need to cost $100? I don’t think it does.

Certainly, there are items that warrant a high price tag, especially if it’s going to last. But I change up my clothes and styles frequently, -not to mention in MN we have serious seasonal changes, so I’m forced to change things up frequently! These items are not items I would ever spend a serious amount on. It’s just not necessary.

Wide Leg Style

I have loved wide leg pants since I can remember. I’ve been wearing them sinc I was probably 11. Even when they weren’t “in style” I still rocked them. Why? Because I felt like it. Wear what feels good to you, and don’t worry about look how everyone else wants  you to. If you style it right, even so called, “out-of-style” items can look great.

My Favorite Way to Add Some Life to an Outfit!

Bracelets are simply my favorite type of accessories. I can’t tell you how many I have. I have cheap ones, expensive ones, handmade ones, -you name it! What’s great about bracelets and bangles is that they can be dressed up and down. Wear beaded ones to the beach, a nice solid gold bangle to work, or mix and match. It doesn’t take much effort. Getting dressed every morning and putting together an outfit shouldn’t be like a second job. It should be quick, FUN, and an expression on who you are.

In a simply, outfit, bracelets can add that extra “Something”.

Bohemian Style: Bringing life back into old fashion!

Bohemian Style has been popular for some time now. But some people are intimidated by the abundance of color, patterns, accessories, or “fun”. It doesn’t have to be that way though!

Bohemian style is about being relaxed, and looking a bit “un-done” rather than perfect. It’s hard to mess up this style because there’s so much room for individuality.

There are a few things to remember however:

  • Try to pick a color hue (maybe 1-3) and stick to it if you’re wearing a lot of accessories

  • If you’re wearing a dress that’s colorful and full of detail or pattern, don’t wear overly color accessories (i.e. many bangles, a necklace, earrings, head band, rings, and a color bag). Instead, wear maybe ONE colored item, and have the rest be in a gold or silver pallet.

  • Sometimes, something as simple as putting your hair in a ponytail, or bun can take a look from “too much” or “OMG, where did she get that?”

  • What you wear is an expression of who you are. Don’t try to be who you’re not. Be comfortable in your style

  • Contrast is not always a bad thing. Just make sure it’s not over done

  • Keep makeup to a minimum with natural tones

And remember: Bohemian is about being free! It’s about fun! It’s about expression! You can mix and match, just don’t wear everything you have in your closet or jewelry box!

If there are any other rules to bohemian style you would like to share, please do!
